At POBox Hosting we offer two types of firewall, All of our firewalls will do the same basic task, protect your server and it's contents by blocking access to it from unwanted visitors.
Why do I need a firewall?
Firewalls protect your network from users of other networks trying to hack into your network for reasons of fraud or destruction. In this case, prevention is most definitely better than cure. We can never be sure when a hacker will strike so our firewall solutions prevent our customers ever having to worry about the security of their private networks.
Destruction by hackers can have a catastrophic effect on businesses without firewall protection with long term effects including loss of revenue, time and work, reputation of the business and leakage of sensitive information.
As well as keeping intruders out of your private network, firewalls also allow permitted users to access your private network remotely giving flexibility when working away from your usual location. Remote access works by a secure login process and authentication certificates.
