POBox Hosting offer a Colocation service where you can supply your own server for installation in our racks in Telehouse London. This give you complete control of your server and the server software applications you run.
We will supply you with the power, space and bandwidth to allow you to run and manage your own server.
At Telehouse London there is a a raft of facilities to make sure that your server will keep running at its optimal condition. There is full air conditiong, power back-up, 24/7/365 manned security, fire protection systems. Naturally all these facilities are redundant.
Co-Location is made up of three main elements:
1) Bandwidth You will receive a 100Mb / 1000 BaseTX ethernet connection for your server, This will be connected to our Cisco powered network. Bandwidth is not measured in bandwidth per gigabyte (Gb)Per month, We work on a system of average usage per month.
2) Space This is the cost associated with actually having your server physically located in our datacenter racks, It is costed in "U" of space per month.
3) Optional Services Should you decide that you only want your server to handle certain elements of your hosting we can do the rest using our option plan, This might include Urchin web statistics or even email.
